World Urban Population

Urban Population Map shows a World Political Map where the countries have been colored according to the percentage of total urban population in a particular country.

Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Australia, Greenland, Spain, Oman, Germany, New Zealand etc are some countries where over 80% of the population is urban. In countries such as USA, Canada, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Russia, Mongolia and Saudi Arabia over 60-80% of the population is urban. Algeria, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Malaysia etc are some countries where 40-60% of the population is urban. India, China, Pakistan, Yemen, Zaire, Namibia, Madagascar, Sudan etc are countries where 20-40% of the population is urban. United States and United Kingdom have very high urbanization level. Australia is one of the most urbanized countries in the world.
